I can't believe...after weeks and months....we finally got pregnant! I say we a little loosely! Actually our little Gidget (our 20 month old Maltese) is expecting and is due July 18. We are VERY nervous but very excited too. Gidget, who weighs in at a whopping 4 lbs is already starting to show. Her middle is getting thicker each day and the girl can put away some doggie chow! In two weeks we will be heading to the vet to find out just how many pups to expect.
This is our first and more than likely the only litter we'll have. We are pretty sure the puppies will be tiny. Sampson, the father, only weighs 3 1/2 lbs but because Gidget is so small we decided one would be enough! I'm nervous about delivery and hoping for an easy time. Thankfully, I have a wonderful sister-in-law who has been through this a few times and is going to help me out.
Anyway...if anyone is interested in a puppy, give me a shout! They won't be ready until the end of September/early October.
