Well, the week is ending. It's been pretty relaxed and I love that. Chad has had an excruciating week at work and has gotten home late every evening and then went in several mornings early. I know he is just exhausted!
Next week will be busy. Noah and Sydney have tennis camp, Chad and I are going to the JOHN MAYER CONCERT (whoooohooo!) and the kids are each having friends over to swim. But, I thought I'd take a minute and do something different with this blog. I have many friends that blog and they usually take a day to answer questions about themselves. So, I'll try the same thing. We'll see what happens.
What was your favorite toy as a child?
I'd definitely have to say Barbies. My mom had taken this giant metal bookcase and made an apartment building for my Barbie dolls. It was complete with garage, stable, and a rooftop pool. She made the upstairs walk in hall closet Barbietopia! It was amazing and I spent hours and hours playing.
What is your favorite comfort food?
My mother was an amazing cook growing up. She cooked every meal and we rarely went out to eat. She made everything! So we were a bit spoiled because everything was made from scratch. I have a lot of favorite comfort foods but the one that sticks out the most is fried chicken and mashed potatoes with homemade gravy. Something about that meal screams home and dinner time with family and laughter and safety.
What is one thing you wished you'd done before now and will you ever be able to check it off your list?
This one is so easy for me. Chad and I never had a honeymoon. He had just started a new job and had no vacation time. Before we knew it, we were celebrating our one year wedding anniversary and the fact that we were four weeks pregnant! Chad and I have never been away just the two of us on a vacation. We've talked about it a lot but it's just never happened yet. But yes....I definitely think it will happen....and soon!
What has been your happiest moment of 2007?
This is a tougher question for me and I've saved it until last. I've had lots of really wonderful moments and many things to celebrate. I doubt I can pick just one! But here are a few!
*Vacationing in Emerald Isle with my family
*Watching Noah win the student council election (the look on his face was priceless!)
*Celebrating Sydney's birthday with her in Indy
*Watching Elijah place well in his swim meets (he did fabulous!)
*Chad and I taking Noah to the roller derby for his birthday
*Going to the annual Chili Cook-Off in Farmland, Indiana and being able to spend time
with friends and watching Bedo win first place and People's Choice.
*Chad and I's extra special date out while on vacation
*Christmas morning

Start saving now. You can plan a rummage and put money towards your honeymoon account. Save loose change. Put money back each week. It will all add up quickly. It will be the trip of your life........
