Hi everyone. I know it's been awhile since I've blogged but with May being such a busy month because of school ending and all the activities that goes along with that, I just didn't get a chance to blog as much as I had intended. Hopefully summer will yield more.
However, I just wanted to report that all three of the May children made the honor roll and Sydney and Noah got ribbons for perfect attendance for the grading period. Elijah's end of year exams, while a bit stressful for him, yielded incredible grades. It's hard to believe I now have TWO children attending Delta Middle School (where have all those years gone?!?!) and my baby girl is now in the FOURTH grade! Crazy!
Noah got elected into Student Council for sixth grade. He is so pumped! He was elected into student council this year and he loved it so he decided to run again. He was so excited to find out he would be representing his Albany classmates when they started DMS.
The picture for this blog is Noah with Mr. Retro (which is the alter ego of Noah's fourth grade teacher, Mr. Richey.) Retro came to the WAES newsroom the last day of school and made a star-studded appearance. I took lots of pics with he and the news crew. Noah was camera man that day so it made it all the more fun. I chose this pic because Noah has now graduated from elementary and is now moving on to life as a middle schooler. This marks an important time in our lives. Once again, a phase of our lives is ending and another one is beginning. Noah is going to grow and change so much over the next year and while we are so proud of him and the decisions he's making and the young man he is growing into, it is a bit difficult to see him grow up and out of many things we have grown accustomed to.
We are so proud of Noah. Fifth grade was such an amazing year for him. He was very involved in school activities, he got great grades, he had lots of friends, and made great choices along the way. We couldn't be more pleased with the way he is growing up. I know he is a bit nervous about middle school but I also know Elijah will be a great mentor to him and show him the ropes. Big brothers are awesome and Elijah is really wonderful with his younger brother and sister.
We are going to enjoy our kids this summer. We are going to kick back, relax, and spend some good quality time together before school starts again and our lives become crazy. I am so proud of all my children. They are wonderfully and beautifully made and my life is so much better because of them!
