Our first blog ever

Well, here I am...posting the first May blog ever. Many of our friends have blogs and they are so fun to read and I thought... what the heck, I should try this. As many of you know, I love to write and would love to continue to do that and thought this might be a great way to keep that up. SO...here we go!

Life here is always crazy. It seems as our kids get older and become more active in school and extra cirricular activities, the more we run. Elijah, our oldest just finished his first swim season. It was awesome! He did amazing for his first year and we couldn't be prouder. He finished well for his first season and he has already decided to do it again next year. He is enjoying middle school and is involved in the honors program and was just accepted into the honors art program.
Noah is on his school's Math Bowl team and most recently made a trip to the Science Fair Regionals at BSU after winning second place at his elementary. He also just competed in the Spelling Bee at school and finished fourth! Not bad considering there were close to 20 students competing. He also keeps busy on his school's Student Council and enjoys all the humanitarium work they do for different organizations within the school. He is our comedian and is always keeping us giggling.
Sydney is very social and while she isn't really involved in much right now, she loves gymnastics and tennis and we are hoping that her drive in these areas continues as we get her lessons to feed her ambitions. She is a very girly girl which I really love. She is so fun! Her favorite color is pink so if it's pink, she wants it painted on her fingernails, in her hair, or on her person! She is a collector of Littlest Pet Shop toys and she and her best girlfriend get together and play with those things for hours!
Chad and I are great. It's hard to believe we'll be married fifteen years in April. Time flies!!! He is still working at Ontario Systems and is really enjoying his supervisory position there. He has so many good friends he enjoys working with in his office and I am glad he has a job he likes so much.
I am busy being a first grade aid at the school. I really enjoy my job and those first graders really keep me on my toes! The stories they tell are hysterical! I have gotten really attached to these kids and I'll be sad to see them move on. They are great. Besides being a full-time mom all these years, I've had many other jobs however, this is the first "real" full-time job I've had since 1995 so it's been a challenge to get back into the swing of things.
It's weird to think we are old enough to have a son in middle school but we are enjoying this new phase in our lives. We are so busy but we are loving every minute of it. We are looking forward to Spring Break and having some down time to relax and have some fun family time together. Even though I have really enjoyed the snow, I am sure ready for some sunshine and warmer weather! Hopefully that groundhog knows what he's doing and we'll see some springtime real soon!
