The Austin Family...from awhile back!

I had never seen this picture before until tonight. I didn't even know it was in exsistence until I saw it posted on Amy's Facebook page. This picture was taken the day my parents celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They renewed their wedding vows that day and we had a party for them in their honor.

This is the Austin clan many years ago. I remember the outfit I wore that day (green babydoll shirt, black leggings with green and pink flowers, and pink bow flats) and my boyfriend's sister french braided my hair. I remember being at the lakes all weekend and driving home for the party and being slightly sunburned from being out on the boat earlier that day. I also remember arguing with my boyfriend about the fact that he wanted to stay at the lakes a little longer but how how important it was that I not be late to the event because it was my parents' special day and how annoyed we were with each other most of the day.

Isn't funny the memories you keep with you from long ago? I remember this day like it was yesterday. We all look different but we are mostly the same. I love my family...every single warped one of them! And even though I'm not with the above mentioned boyfriend anymore...I wish him well wherever he is! :)

Flashbacks

This is a picture of Chad and Butch Kratky taken at the Variety Show at Monroe Central. This picture takes me back a ways. I believe I was in 7th grade and Chad was a sophomore when he dance in the Variety Show. He and Butch did some poppin' and lockin' and some break dancin' which was totally hot during that time. Their number was the hit of the show. Afterwards I cracked up because TONS of girls stood in line to get Chad and Butch's autographs! What was even funnier was the fact that the girls wanting their autographs were girls we all went to school with and saw on a daily basis.

Thanks to Shelly Hedges for posting this picture on Facebook.

He's a Giant!!!

Well, Elijah has surpassed all rules of height declared by the genes in our families. He has passed both Chad and I and is officially taller than us. *sigh* But, on the up side, he's such a great kid and I'm so proud of the young man he's becoming. I made him pose with me in the picture (because it's my job to torment him as much as I can!!!)

Meet Kierston

This is Kierston. She is Kurt's younger sister. I met Kierston FIRST when she was a gymnast at the gym where I worked. She was one of my competitive gymnasts.

Kierston just turned 13. We went to her birthday party at the new Glow-in-the-Dark Putt Putt golf place in Muncie and had a blast! She is funny and silly and I love her dearly.

She always says things like "You should love me more because you knew me first," or "You and Kurt wouldn't be friends if it wasn't for me." And, she's probably right.

Kierston is one of Elijah's best friends. She and her friend, Ciara and Elijah are good buddies and I'm glad they get along so well and like to hang out together. They are crazy when they are together.

It's fun to be with Kierston. She brings out the silly in me! Her laugh is infectious and she always keeps us in stitches ("How does my butt look in these jeans???" or "Look me me! My hips don't lie!" LOL)

I love her and I am SO glad I met her and her family. I feel like she's one of my own. Thank you, Kierston for reminding me how important you are to me. I love you SO much!
