S-O-C-C-E-R-!-!-!

The Spring Soccer season is officially over. It was great! Noah is our resident soccer player and his is such an amazing defensive player. Noah has played since he was four and now that he is getting older and better with each passing season...watching him play is such a blast!

Chad decided to coach this year and the safety green team did awesome! They got better and better and by the end of the season, they couldn't be stopped! Noah's team won their last four games so it was fun for the kids to go out with a bang.

Chad did a great job coaching. For those of you who didn't know, soccer was Chad's sport of choice when he lived with his mother in California. Soccer is HUGE in California. So, Chad has all kinds of soccer knowledge so he was the perfect coach for these kids. It was fun to watch him teach and mentor the kids. He was kind and patient and the kids loved him. Noah always enjoys hanging out with his dad and doing stuff they both like together. Chad coaching the team was a bonus in Noah's eyes.

It was a great season and Noah is ready for the fall season to start. Chad is glad for a break but has decided to come back in the fall and coach again.

Great job, Noah on a fabulous season!

Nailed down

Don't you love filling out those surveys and polls about what kind of person you are or what type of friend you are, or even what kind of lover you are? It cracks me up. I always fill them out and I always end up laughing at the result. Some of the stuff is right (in a sense) but then most of it is completely ridiculous! However, I found one that somehow got most of it right on. I don't know how...but it did!

If you get two minutes and don't have a lot to do...try it.

Your Inner Color is Yellow
Your Personality: Life's too short not to have fun. Your bright energy brings joy and laughter to those around you.

You in Love: A total flirt, you need a lot of freedom to play. But you'll be loyal to that one person who makes you feel safe.

Your Career: You love variety in a job, and you probably won't stick with one career. You would make a great professor, writer, or actor.

Mayer-itis

I know it's been several days since I've blogged, but with school quickly coming to a close, our days seem to get busier and busier!

However...Chad and I just got tickets to the John Mayer concert for the June show. Let me just say this as calmly as I can.....I CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!! I have been a huge JM fan for years!

We went the JM show back in September and it was Amazing! I cannot express to the person who isn't a fan of JM how awesome his shows are. He has such an amazing voice and has such a presence on stage that could melt the hearts of all who hear him. I have all of his cds and they are constants while I drive or mow or cook or stand still or breathe (hehehe.) His guitar skills are tremendous and he continually gets better and better with each album he releases. His lyrics are soulful and soothing and deep and diverse.

When we went to his show in September, I was beside myself with excitement. I'm sure Chad as well as the group of friends we went with probably were ready to sedate me! You see... I am not the luckiest person and the last time JM came to Indy for a show, our local radio station was giving away tickets. I called in at the correct time (on my cell phone while I was driving) and got in!!! I was sweating bullets and my heart was racing and my palms were sweaty because I JUST WON JM TIX!!!! Holy Canoli!!! The dj said, "You're caller number 9! You're going to John Mayer! Congratulations!" I said, "Oh my gosh! Thank you so much! I'm so excited!" The dj chuckled and said, "Awesome! Who am I talking to?" At that very moment, I hit a dead space in the hole of cellular phone frequency (trust me...there are many of those around Albany!) and my phone went dead. I too...wanted to die! Within seconds, the dj picked another caller and my chance of JM tickets flew out the window! For days and days after my JM ticket loss, I felt a hole in my stomach. Someone else had gotten my tickets and all because of my piece of junk cell phone!!!

Anyway, he's coming! And, after the show in September, JM met ALL of my expectations and more. We had awesome seats (middle pavillion---JM smack dab in front of me!) In fact, I vowed from that show on that I would never miss another JM show.

Come on John Mayer!!! I cannot wait until June!!!

P.S. My cell phone these days totally R-O-C-K!!!
